From Abu Huraira (ra) that the Prophet (sas) said, "You will not enter Paradise until you believe and you will not believe until you love one another. Should I not direct you to that which - if you do it - you will come to love one another? Spread peace (and the greeting of peace) amongst yourselves." Muslim.
From Abu Huraira (ra) that the Prophet (sas) said, "Beware of bad relations between you for it is the Destroyer (lit: "that which shaves clean").
Az-Zubair ibn Al-Awwaam reports that the Prophet (sas) said, "The maladies of those who came before you have afflicted you: envy and hatred. This is the destroyer (that which shaves clean). I don't mean that it completely removes hair, but rather that it removes the deen. By the one in whose Hand my soul is, you will never enter Paradise until you believe and you will never believe until you love one another. Should I not direct you to that which - if you do it - you will come to love one another? Spread peace (and the greeting of peace) amongst yourselves."
One version of this hadith says, "You will not enter Paradise until you believe (tu'minoo)" and another says "until you submit (tuslimoo)".
Jannah is forbidden to any disbeliever
Belief (or submission) which is real leads to mutual love, respect and care among all Muslims
An-Nawawi: "Your iman is not complete nor does your condition become sound in your faith until you love one another."
The effect of dislike and hatred among Muslims is the destruction of society, its diversion away from remembrance of Allah and service to Him and the failure of society to abide by Allah's orders and stay away from its prohibitions.
The Prophet (sas) has sworn that none will enter Paradise but a believer/Muslim and that believe does not become possible except with mutual love and care.
There is no way to Paradise without mutual love among Muslims.
The Sunnah directs us to MANY ways to foster this, bring it about and protect it, among them is "spreading the greeting and peace among yourselves".
This means the true meaning and spirit of SALAAM, not the mere words.
Ibn Abbas said, "When Allah brings hearts together, nothing can come between them." Then, he recited:
{And He brought their hearts together. Even if you were to spend all that is in the earth you could never have brough their hearts together, but Allah brought them together. Verily, He is Mighty, Wise.} Al-Anfaal.
From Anas (ra) that the Prophet (sas) came to some of his wives and with them was Umm Sulaim and he (sas) said, "Woe to you Anjasha be gentle in driving glass vessels. Abu Qalaba (the narrator) said, "So, the Prophet (sas) said something which if some of you were to say, you would have criticized them for it: "driving glass vessels".
